YOUR FIRST VISIT
The initial appointment in our office is a consultation. In certain
emergency cases surgical care can be offered the day of the
consultation.
During the consultation, Dr. Ehsan will review your past medical
history: Illnesses, Medications, Medical Allergies, and prior
surgeries. The interview will outline your problem or concern
and review your referring doctor/dentist's note (if applicable).
After the interview, a focused examination of your mouth or face
will be conducted. Radiographs (x-rays) and photographs will be
evaluated when appropriate.
Upon the conclusion of the physical and radiographic evaluation your diagnosis will be explained.
Dr. Ehsan prides himself on being a patient advocate. The role of
an advocate is to teach the patient about their problem or disease
process and offer therapeutic options when necessary.
If surgical therapy is needed all associated risks, benefits, and
alternatives will be described. At the end of your appointment, Dr.
Ehsan will answer any questions you may have. Dr. Ehsan encourages
active patient participation. We have found that well informed patients
are best able to tolerate medical and surgical procedures.
In more complex cases a second consultation will be scheduled at no charge.
